Opened in 2002 as galerie nichido’s contemporary branch, nca | nichido contemporary art has been active in the introduction of domestic and international up-and-coming artists, taking after its main gallery which, since its establishment in 1928, has been promoting culture through innovative exhibitions, first to have introduced Western painting in Japan.
Since the opening of a Taipei branch in 2015, nca has broadened the focus of its program actively engaging in the promotion of Asia’s contemporary art scene.
