Chih-Hung Liu’s work is on view at Taipei-based gallery TKG+ Projects in the artist’s solo show “Chih-Hung Liu: Silent and Still” which will kick off from October 3 and will run until November 21.
Recording through a versatile approach everyday things, his surrounding environment, moments and sceneries encountered through his research journeys, and sounds, Liu appeals to our five senses while playing with different media, that comprise unique paintings, sculptures and installations.
Theme of this exhibition is the sea. A special source of inspiration is represented by Yokohama-based Mishima Yukio’s novel "The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea" which Liu discovered during his research on occasion of his artist residency in Yokohama last year.
